Welcome! My name is Caitlin, but you can call me Lin.
Here at my store, you will find uniquely crafted magnets, each one a small work of art created with care. My love for upcycling led me to explore working with tiles as a base for collage art. All images are hand cut and sourced from books and magazines. I studied drawing and painting at Maine College of Art & Design, where I earned my BFA in 2008. The process of creating large mixed media paintings led me to seek out a way to create smaller, more affordable, and functional art pieces. I incorporate both mod podge and textiles with a personal collage style that gives each magnet its own distinct character.
I draw inspiration from nature, science, and the charming qualities of life in Rhode Island. My favorite sources for images include books on dinosaurs, art history, and astronomy, as well as magazines like National Geographic and Autumn issues of Home Living (I’m a sucker for spooky aesthetic!).
When I'm not creating art, you can find me hula hooping, there are no bounds to the new tricks and combinations to be learned- or spending time with my husband, Alex, and our two adorable cats, Merlin and Toes. I also love wandering through the historic streets of Providence, getting lost in the beauty of its architecture. Thank you so much for visiting my store!
