I Love the colors in this spalted sweet gum! The feel it has in the hand and the look on a table is awesome ! Saved from the chipper and land fill I wasn’t sure how this one would work out, But boy did it ever work out beautifully! All of my bowls are coated with food safe linseed oil and bees wax. size 4"'w x 2"H

How it’s Made
When making bowls I prefer the twice turned method. This means that I turn the wood green and then dry it for up to a year. during that time the grain will relax and then I will turn it again and apply finish. Wood is an Organic material that is constantly moving. This process means that the bowl will be more stable and hold its shape better. All of my bowls are coated with food safe linseed oil and bees wax.
