Meet the Maker
hola! LoriA here…
I’m a farmer, textile dyer and all around experimenter
I spend my time dyeing | weaving | throwing clay
surrounded by the lush growth of dye plants, I cultivate vibrant hues for my projects… in my hands, I weave our alpaca fiber and the tactile joy of clay allows me to shape and mold nature's essence into tangible forms
How it’s Made
I grow indigo on our farm... once the indigo has matured, I extract the pigment from the leaves thru an aqueous extraction, then I used the pigment to dye... the same pigment is used in the indigo ink
