Intarsia is a time consuming art form where many pieces are carefully cut and then shaped for perspective and 3-D look. This one would make a great gift for your favorite musician or pianist. the woods are all the natural colors finished naturally without any dyes or stains. This intarsia includes honey locust, cherry, walnut, maple, cocobolo, and padauk. it is about 15” wide.

How it’s Made
Intarsia pieces are a time intensive art form. Each piece is hand cut and fitted into the picture. Parts are carefully shaped before gluing for a realistic 3-D look. Once glued the picture is backed and a finish is added. This piece took about 20 hours to complete.
