Meet the Maker
Hey there, I'm Heather. I have loved art in all of its forms since I was a little girl. My mom was really crafty and into decorating when I was younger and I loved helping her with every bit of it. My dad was super eclectic, outgoing, and fun. His life motto was "Normal is just a setting on a washing machine." Music and writing became my own personal passions as a young girl and dancing (even if it was only in my room with the door closed) and drawing came in my teenage years. It wasn't until about 5 years ago that I started using art as a therapy and a way to support my family. I had spent 6 years fighting medical issues and lost 8 people that were really close to me within the last 2 of those including my stepdad and my grandmother. I moved out of my home state of NJ for a fresh start in NC with my husband and our 3 children. However, soon after, my husband had a horrible accident leaving him permanently disabled, and then I lost my dad a year later. I was in a really dark place. If it weren't for my faith in God, all hope would have been lost. There is absolutely no way that I got through those trials in my life alone and I wanted to do something to help others who might be in a dark place or season in their own life. I also wanted to help prevent them from happening if I could. I had to find a way to channel all of those feelings of shock and sadness, of loss and resentment, of hope and gratitude into something positive that could help my family when we needed it most. And so, The Hope Shed was born. I started out weaving wall hangings and painting garden stones but once I got going, there was no limit to my creativity! I now offer those items, greeting cards, memorial jewelry, stickers, keychains and so much more. My mission is to inspire hope, put a smile on your face, make you laugh, warm your heart, stir your faith, and leave a lasting impression on your spirit. Everything in my shop is crafted with those things in mind. Making custom works of art for my customers is such an incredible joy so please if you see something in the shop that you would like customized or even if you have a completely different idea, don't be afraid to reach out and ask!

First and foremost I'd like to thank you for investing in me and my services. I am very blessed to have your support. I strive to make sure that every item that leaves my shop is made and packaged with the highest level of care.
All orders are sent as gifts. There is no invoice inside the package. If you would like one sent to you, or if you need your items packaged individually inside the box please leave me a note indicating this change at checkout.
Your satisfaction is my top priority. if you have any questions just send me a message.
Likewise, if you see any item in my shop you would like customized, please send me a message.
Shipping
Processing time
The time I need to prepare an order for shipping varies. For details, see individual items.
Customs and import taxes:
Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I'm not responsible for delays due to customs.
Returns & exchanges
I gladly accept returns and exchanges
Contact me within 3 days of delivery
Ship items back within 7 days of delivery
Cancellations
If you need to cancel your order, please let me know in a timely manner. For custom or commissioned orders, please cancel within 3 hours of purchase. For all other orders please cancel within 24 hours. I can not cancel a custom or commissioned order once I have started creating it and I can not cancel an order once it has been shipped.
The following items can not be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
- Custom or personalized orders
- Perishable products (like food or flowers)
- Digital downloads
- Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
- Items on sale
Conditions of return
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Stolen Packages/Lost Packages
The Hope Shed is not responsible for the theft of any packages, nor for any wrong address listed on your account. The Hope Shed will ship your package to the address you have on file at the time you signed up. It is the responsibility of the buyer to keep addresses updated when a move occurs. If you need the item shipped to a different address, please indicate that in the note at checkout. Packages that show delivered or may be stolen from your mailbox or delivery area are not the responsibility of The Hope Shed. If a package shows that it was delivered please contact your local post office, as they can tell you by GPS where they left your package.
Please note:
Many of my creations are made with small parts or pieces and therefore, unless otherwise stated, are not intended for small children or babies who may put pieces in their mouth, as it could be a hazard. Safety first! Please exercise care when wearing jewelry items at work or during physical activity. The Hope Shed is not responsible for damage that occurs after purchase.
Release of Liability:
No product has been FDA-approved and is not intended to treat, cure, or prevent any disease. The Hope Shed makes no medical, therapeutic, or spiritual healing claims when using items purchased from our shop. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding or have a medical condition do not purchase any products with essential oils without asking your doctor first. Buyer and user assume any and ALL risks with items they purchase from The Hope Shed and release The Hope Shed from any liability. Products are NOT TO BE USED INTERNALLY.
