Meet the Maker
Hello and Welcome to my shop, Linda Fehlen Gallery. I am the proud wife of a retired Air Force Officer and mother of three amazing young men. I started painting when I was drawing close to the end of my journey as a homeschooling mom. I had been homeschooling my 3 boys since my first was four years old. When he entered college, thoughts of empty nesting were beginning to creep in. This has prompted me to consider, "What will I do when they are all gone out of the house?" I mean, they have been "what I do" for the last 18 years. I love to paint and know I will enjoy keeping busy painting when they leave home, but my husband would rather not have canvases and wood art overtaking our house. Go imagine is a great avenue to remedy this along with my local sales.
I have been creating some form of art since I can remember. I followed my dad around and helped him build, paint and create large paper mache props for theater sets and backdrops. As an adult I have had the pleasure to paint large scale backdrops and fill rooms with painted props and scenery for conferences. When the military moved us away from that opportunity I started to create wood and canvas paintings, art prints, and printable wall art for you.
What started as a hobby to keep me busy turned into so much more. I started with the thought "I wonder if I can sell just one" and now have over 4000 sales. I thrive on "meeting" my customers and getting to know them through our online conversations. I love connecting with my clients as they share with me how my artwork is being used as meaningful gifts for exciting celebrations, marking anniversaries, and even some very tender and heartbreaking life moments.
And this wraps up how I fell in love with creating Art that Warms your Heart and Home.
