Hi, I'm hilde the artist behind hilde’s Whimsical Art. On my site you will find my most recent object art and prints.
My designs are a joyful expression of my love for nature and people’s quirks.

I went to art school in Belgium and have lived in the US for over 35 years.
How it’s Made
The dimensions of this whimsical box is about 3-inches in diameter and stands about 2inches tall. Due to the nature of working with pine wood is that some of the texture of the wood comes through in some areas, the item still has the character of hand painted wood.
After burning the design into the wood, the surface is sealed and then hand painted. This round box is sealed with 5 coats of environment friendly varnish.
Wipe the surface with a damp cloth.
