About this Product
"Journey" art print is created from an original painting done in 2023 on an 8 x 10 inch paper using watercolor paints. It touches on the themes of exploring one's own unconscious, and the courage it takes to face one's own shadow. The observer is invited to ask themselves: "who am I?" "what brings meaning to my life?" "which activities empower me and bring joy as opposed to activities which leave me empty and numb?" If you are interested in exploring your own psyche I highly recommend writings of Carl Gustav Jung and Friedrich Nietzsche.
The art print is done on a gloss photo paper and inserted into a 5 x 7 inch white frame card. The size of the image within the frame is approximately 3.5 x 5.5 inches. The title of the artwork is written in the lower right corner of the frame using a black marker. A white envelope is included.

Meet the Maker
Hi! My name is Anastasiya. My spiritual awakening (or, an existential crisis :)) began a few years ago, when I decided I want to change my life and pursue endeavors which are personally meaningful and bring me joy. Art and poetry are two ways I express myself. Whereas my poems are usually born when I'm out walking around my beautiful town upstate New York, my artworks first begin with an idea. The ideas themselves are inspired mostly by the literature I read. Once the idea is conceived, I begin sketching. That's one of my most favorite parts of the whole process, because that's when the real magic happens. The idea evolves during the sketching process, and I just go along with whatever wants to emerge. Most often, the finished sketch differs significantly from the original idea! Then I paint the sketch in my home studio using watercolors. Because I am a self-taught artist, I am always working on improving my technique! I love watching other artists paint on YouTube and sometimes follow along and practice different painting techniques. I hope you enjoy my artworks. Feedback and comments are always welcome!

How it’s Made
The art print is made from an original painting using an inkjet printer in my home studio. The painting is scanned, then formatted to a needed size, then printed on a high quality gloss photo paper, which is subsequently inserted into a paper frame card.
