About this Product

Sweet, salty and oh so good, Dell Cove® Kettle Corn popcorn seasoning brings the taste of traditional carnival popcorn to your home. A little goes a long way! Delicious on air-popped popcorn, it's better sprinkled over buttered popcorn (and sticks better, too). To flavor popcorn, simply pop your popcorn, add a little butter or spritz of olive oil (to help the seasonings stick) and sprinkle on the popcorn spices.

SIZE OPTIONS:

Meet the Maker

Connecting & Creating Memories, One Bowl of Popcorn at a Time

When people ask us how we started our family business, we point to the recession and the collapse of the newspaper journalism industry.

It was early 2010. Patricia was a national correspondent and her newspaper's parent company had filed for bankruptcy, moving her job from the Midwest to Los Angeles. She and David were newly married, and they assumed that David (a CAD designer for an engineering company) would be able to find work fairly easily in California.

They were wrong.

Months passed. They longed to be together. So they started to cook at the same time - three time zones away from one another - and talk on the phone or over Skype. Cooking became their date night, a way to could connect, create memories and share stories of what happened during our day. Often, they would pop some popcorn (from their family's farm) and mix up a small batch of our favorite spice recipes to sprinkle on top.

Money was tight. But Patricia's parents had raised her to believe that you don't have to be rich to eat well. So for holidays and special occasions, they gifted loved ones edible luxuries made from scratch. The biggest hit was always our popcorn and popcorn seasoning gift sets, with toppings  mixed by hand and kernels grown on their family's and friends' farms.

One friend suggested we start selling these online. Maybe, she said, it could help offset the cost of the cross-country flights. David and Patricia set up an online store and named our company after the street where they last lived together: Dell Cove.

Over time, their sales grew - and Dell Cove® helped the couple reunite back in the Midwest, where they continued to grow their popcorn company today. In September of 2012, David quit his day job at an engineering firm and runs the business full time. Patricia is a journalist by day - and helps David in the evenings and weekends.

Today, Dell Cove Spices & More Co.® is a small family run business, an insured and licensed S Corp. that works out of certified commercial kitchens, and is a registered FDA facility. Our products are gluten-free, nut-free - and many are sugar-free and vegan friendly. (We never use artificial flavorings or preservatives.) Our popcorn kernels are grown on small family farm operations that use sustainable farming practices - including our own!

In January 2021, we moved Dell Cove® to northeastern Indiana. We are thrilled to be in our new home in New Haven, Indiana - just outside of Fort Wayne - closer to family and surrounded by rolling farmland. (Fun fact: Did you know that Indiana's official state snack is popcorn?)

DO YOU OFFER FREE SHIPPING?

Yes! All orders of $49+ (after any discounts are applied) that ship to the U.S. can ship for free. You will see the free shipping option at check-out.

WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP?

All orders ship from our commercial space at 1221 Hartzell Street, Suite 4, New Haven, IN, 46774. We ship Monday through Saturday, and in general, orders ship out in 1 (one) business day, after your payment clears. Please note that this does not include the time it takes for the package to physically get to your destination. You can locate the “ship by” date in each listing and your  "cart" before checkout. Estimated delivery times are also shown on each listing. After checkout, you can find the "ship by" date on the receipt you received from GoImagine for your purchase. If you are in need of your package by a specific date, please send us a “convo” on GoImagine before placing your order, to see if we can accommodate your request.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY ORDER?

That is a great question - and one we unfortunately cannot definitively answer. Many people's buying habits changed during the pandemic, and U.S. delivery networks (such as UPS and USPS) cannot keep up. You might already have experienced this, with weeks-long delays on some online orders or waking up at 4 a.m. to get an open slot from a grocery delivery company. This is why we are pushing ourselves to ship out orders out fast. Our thought is that if Patricia & I can get your order out fast, then hopefully that will help get your delicious treats to you ASAP - even if the carrier has some delays.

MY ORDER SHOWS THAT IT WAS DELIVERED, BUT I CAN'T FIND IT. WHAT THE HECK DO I DO?

1. Verify the shipping address on your invoice is correct.
2. Look around the delivery location for a notice of attempted delivery. (Is there a sheet of paper on your door or inside your mailbox?)
3. Look around the delivery location for your package. (Was the package left near your back door? In the front bushes?)
4. Check with neighbors and others at the delivery location, to see if someone else accepted the delivery. (This does happen. Shocking, but true!)
5. Contact your local post office, to see if they are holding the package. (The post office may not have been able to deliver the order for some reason.)
6. Wait 48 hours. Why? Packages can show as delivered via USPS, but still actually be in transit.
7. Contact us so we can help!

THE POST OFFICE SAYS THEY ARE UNABLE TO DELIVER MY PACKAGE. WHAT DO I DO?

You will need to go to your local post office branch to pick up your package. If you don't pick up your package from the post office, then USPS will return the order to us after a period of time. If your package is returned to us without a return authorization, then we will assume you have refused delivery. If it was a food product(s) you ordered, the product(s) will be destroyed due to concerns over food safety.

MY ORDER ARRIVED DAMAGED. WHAT DO I DO?

We are happy to replace your order if a package arrives extremely damaged, free of charge. Just take photos of the damaged package, email them to us at david@dellcovespices.com and let us know what happened. We want you and your taste buds to be happy with your purchase!

HOW DO I RETURN MY ORDER?

Items must be unopened and in the original packaging. Contact us by email - at david@dellcovespices.com - to make arrangements for a return, as return authorizations are required. Returns are void if the product arrives back to us damaged, or if items are opened, used or not in original packaging. (We suggest shipping products back via USPS Priority Mail - postal insurance comes automatically!) Once we have received your return, and inspected the products, we will email you to let you know your return has arrived and we will process your refund.

DO YOU OFFER WHOLESALE OR FOOD SERVICE ACCOUNTS?

Wholesale orders are always welcome and we love working with brick and mortar shops, as well as small food manufacturers! Please send us an email at wholesale@dellcovespices.com with your business information and any questions, and we look forward to working with you. Please note: We do not allow stockists to sell our products on Amazon, Etsy, Walmart.com, Faire or other third-party e-commerce sites.

I GAVE YOU THE WRONG SHIPPING ADDRESS AND USPS (OR UPS) SAYS MY PACKAGE IS BEING RETURNED TO DELL COVE SPICES. WHAT DO I DO?

Bummer! Ok, you have two options: #1: If the set comes back undamaged, we can invoice you for the cost of the postage to reship the order. On that invoice, we will need you to use the correct shipping address (as we only ship orders to the address on the invoice). If the order returned damaged, we will remake the order and, after the shipping has been paid, ship it out to the new address. #2: We can cancel and refund your product cost - and you are most welcome to reorder. If you go with this option, please make sure the address you use is complete and the one you would like to have the package delivered too. If you re-purchase your items before the package is returned to us, we will refund you once the items have returned.

WHAT TYPE OF SHIPPING MATERIALS DO YOU USE?

We use biodegradable packing peanuts, which are made from corn. (No styrofoam here, friends.) We also use boxes made from recycled materials. If you know of someone who makes biodegradable packing tape, let us know! (That's been the toughest thing to find.)
