The perfect dress for twirling!
This dress has a secret- a hidden butterfly on the front and back of the dress that is revealed when the pleats open! It encourages the kid wearing it to spin, twirl, and jump around in order to reveal the butterfly. The tent silhouette makes this dress comfortable and no zipper easy-on, easy-off. This is a dress your kids are going to be excited to wear!

How it’s Made
I started with my tent dress pattern, before adding a front and back pleat. I then cut out all the pieces- the blue from 100% cotton broadcloth and the orange from 100% cotton flannel. I sew the 100% bamboo felt butterfly onto the front and back orange panels, then sew all the pieces together, finishing the seams with my serger. Lastly, I attach bias tape that I made to the arm and neck holes to finish off the dress.
