Meet the Maker
As outdoor enthusiasts, we collect Knobcone pinecones from wind blown snow load branches that have fallen to the ground. Once collected we sort and clean the cones.
Our pendants and earings are sliced from the heart of the cone. We then sand and seal them in a vacuum chamber. This stabilizes the slice for the finish. We offer all types of finishes as well as options for hardware and types of necklace material.
We try to return all of our scrap pieces to the area where we collect form. This is so the seeds in the cones can hopefully become trees.
How it’s Made
Our bolo tie feathers are made from the Mount Shasta knobcone pinecones. Also known as third eye pinecones. Our pinecone bolo ties are hand-crafted from the center of the world’s densest pinecones. With meticulous attention to detail, we hand select each pinecone ensuring that every creation is infused with the spirit of the outdoors. Our pinecone bolo ties are sealed in resin to highlight and protect the organic fractal beauty.
