About this Product
Artistically hand carved sterling silver earrings with sparkling checkerboard faceted genuine labradorite stones. These earrings are entirely handmade by me. The oval shaped dangles are also accented with a band of pure, 22 karat gold overlay. The stones are set in gallery wire bezels and the earrings hang from sterling silver ear wires with gold-filled beads.
Labradorite is a mineral with iridescence. In the light, the stones appear mostly golden color, but flash with green.
The earrings have an oxidized and polished finish to enhance the carved details of radiating lines. They are marked on the back with my maker's mark.
They measure about 7/8 x 5/8 inches (22x16mm), and together with the ear wires the earrings hang about 1 3/8 inches (40mm) long.

Meet the Maker
I am a craftsperson making artfully hand-carved sterling silver jewelry. I make jewelry for art lovers. My work is modern, free-spirited and uncommon. When you purchase a piece from me, you are getting a special treasure to enjoy for years to come.
My background as a graphic designer influences everything I create. Carving, line, shape and texture are always at the forefront. Each piece is individually hand carved, imparting a richness of pattern and texture. Because of the nature of hand-carving, my jewelry has a special uniqueness-- no two pieces will ever be exactly alike!
Some fun facts: I started designing and making silver jewelry in 2008, and began selling my work in 2009. I have made over 3000 pieces since then! I'm a Rio Grande certified artisan in metal clay and have achieved level one of the Metal Clay Masters Registry (https://metalclaynow.com/index.php/gallery/masters-registry). I'm also a graduate of Paier School of Art and have worked all my life as a designer. My jewelry collections have been represented in shops and galleries across the United States.
My studio practices are eco-friendly. I use non-toxic and recycled materials whenever possible. I care about our earth and the health of all beings.
Pieces are offered in solid sterling silver or sterling silver accented with a pure, 22 karat gold overlay that is hand-applied.

How it’s Made
I designed these earrings around the oval shaped labradorite stones. Featuring these beautiful, checkerboard cut sparkling gems, I made the settings in bezels created from gallery wire. Gallery wire is a type of silver bezel wire with intricate cut-out designs. Then, I designed these to have a band of gold leading down to the stones, as if to point to them. All the hand carving radiates out from the stones. These are one of a kind.

Your satisfaction is guaranteed. If you are not happy with your purchase, I will refund you or provide an exchange. But please let me know within 3 days of receiving your item (evelyn@evelynpelati.com). Once I receive the unused return, I will issue the refund or start the exchange process.
My work is warrantied against defects. This warranty does not cover wear and tear, scratches or obvious abuse.
