This stunning pendant features a lapis lazuli heart cabochon that has been wrapped in copper wire. To make this stunning piece, I took 3 pieces of 20 gauge round copper wire and 2 pieces of 20 gauge square copper wire and braided them together on each side. The wires are connected at the bottom but a piece of 28 gauge round copper wire. The bail is made with 2 strands of the 20 gauge round copper wire and 3 strands of the 20 gauge square copper wire in the same braided design of the frame. The swirls on the sides and bottom are connected to the frame with pieces of 28 gauge round copper wire. This piece is handmade in Minnesota.
Lapis lazuli is thought to help the wearer with spiritual guidance and visionary awareness by activating their intuition. Many believe that it can help the wearer speak the truth and discover their most true inner self.
Lapis lazuli is believed to resonate with the third eye and throat chakras.
This piece measures 1.75" tall and 1.25" across and will come with a 21" braided black cord.
This piece is not oxidized but could be. The oxidization process is done by putting the piece in a mixture of liver of sulfur and water. I leave the piece until for 30-45 seconds and then I pull it out and clean it with soap, water, and a piece of steel wool. I make sure not to scratch the stone when doing this.
