This listing is for an 18 inch across, hand painted Blue Crab Lazy Susan. I cut each one from Maple or Birch 5/8 inch plywood. I then sand the wood, prime, and paint the design with acrylic paint. After the paint dries, I apply several coats of a marine quality sealer, and finish each Lazy Susan with epoxy resin. The epoxy is what you might see on bar tops and restaurant tables. It gives each Lazy Susan a hard, strong, waterproof and very shiny surface. Most people think that they are made from glass or ceramic.
I use a metal, made in USA ball bearing swivel for the spinner. The metal hardware is covered with another piece of 1/2 cut wood and felt bumpers are applied to protect your table. Clean up is easy. Just use a damp, almost dry cloth.
My Lazy Susans are a hit at all of the Art Shows that I attend. They make a great housewarming gift for the owners of a beach house or a very unique Wedding gift. This Lazy Sue will be cherished for years to come!
