Brownella Cottage stands stoically amidst the whispering trees of Galion, OH and bears witness to the spirits that linger within its aged walls. Once home to Bishop William Montgomery Brown and his wife Ella, the structure and its furnishings stand frozen in time, preserved for curious visitors and passers-by. Stepping over its threshold, one cannot escape the feeling of an otherworldly presence clinging to the air. The energy permeates the atmosphere as it silently reminds us of the Bishop's death on All Hallows' Eve in 1937. Experience mysterious echoing whispers, phantom pipe smoke, and ghostly apparitions as you make your way down the long corridor to Bishop Brown's Library.
Our products are hand poured in small batches with the highest quality ingredients and materials. We add only candle-approved dyes, shimmer/mica, and phthalate-free fragrance oils to provide you with a clean and long-lasting burn. We do not use essential oils as they can be toxic and unsafe, nor do we incorporate any flammable/potentially flammable materials such as dried flowers, herbs, paper, beads, or crystals.

The Paranormal Collection features four scents: Each represents a haunted location in Ohio, and each permeates the air with an otherworldly intensity. This collection is inspired by bearing personal witness to many odd happenings and unexplained occurrences. These eerie places, in turn, will forever remain near and dear to our hearts - forever forging a bond between us and the unknown. We certainly wish to pass the essence of our collective experiences onto you through spectral scents that whisk you away to haunted historical places in your subconscious mind, sharing the ambience of mysterious moments in time.
For Optimal Burning:
✨ Wick comes pre-trimmed. Light and allow the first burn to reach the edge of the vessel to prevent future tunneling, approx. 3-4 hours.
✨ Trim your wick each subsequent burn to 1/8"-1/4" before lighting
✨ Place candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts and flammable objects
✨ Do not burn more than 3-4 hours. Glass jars can become very hot. Please exercise caution and do not pick up a lit candle to move it.
✨ Never leave a burning candle unattended
✨ Keep out of reach of pets and children
✨ Extinguish with a candle snuffer or wick dipper. After extinguishing, place the lid on the jar to preserve the scent as well as keep out dust and debris

Hi there! I'm Angie, and I run a small handmade operation in Northeast Ohio. I absolutely LOVE all things spooky! Every candle and wax melt is made in-house as well as product packaging, design, and labeling. How it’s Made
Our aromatic para-soy candles are made with high-quality ingredients, come from a smoke free/pet free business, and are hand poured in small batches. We incorporate phthalate-free fragrance oils provide you with a clean and long-lasting burn. We use only candle-safe vessels from reputable vendors as well as lead-free cotton wicks with a hand-stamped embossed design on each lid. We design and print all product labeling in-house (except for the warning labels affixed to the bottom of the jars) to fit the spooky historic theme that we are so passionate about.
Shop Policies
Due to the consumable nature of candles/wax melts, I do not accept returns. However, I do accept cancellations within 4 hours of your order.

We carefully pack our items for shipment. Once shipped, the carrier is responsible for delivering your package in good condition. However, delay/damage of packages can happen; please contact me as soon as possible if this occurs so we can make it right.
Please note that I cannot be held liable for lost or stolen packages after the carrier verifies the package has been delivered.
Please understand we cannot be held accountable for high temperatures during shipping that may cause melting of the product. Please make sure your delivery is not left in the heat.
