This is a Handmade Leather Wrist Strap or Wristlet Strap adorned with roses for your keys, wallet, clutch, or badge. Also makes a great long keychain. Add to any bag or zip pull,or attach to your wallet or keychain.
Made from incredibly strong and durable vegetable tanned full grain leather, the wrist strap is hand dyed in a deep red with a slightly distressed or vintage look.
Featuring artwork permanently etched into the leather in black:
Roses have been permanently engraved into the leather on both sides, outlined in black and filled in red.

Meet the Maker
I have always had an interest in handcrafts and art since I was a young boy. My father is an artist & former art teacher, so from early on I learned to respect and appreciate arts & crafts and the time and love that goes into the creative process.
Following my passion, I pursued a degree in Fine Arts. Early positions in graphic design cascaded into a career in the game industry.
After stepping away from the industry I moved to refocus on more creative pursuits and get back to working with my hands.
Being a long-time game enthusiast and not being satisfied with all the mass-produced game card cases, I decided to make one for myself. From there I branched out into doing other special projects for my family. My pieces were receiving a lot of positive feedback which gave me the inspiration to start making pieces for others who might enjoy and appreciate them too.
Although the market has changed quite a bit over the last several years with mass produced items masquerading as handmade, I am proud to continue crafting hand made goods at home in my studio for the love and enjoyment of the creative process.
My interests in world religions, spirituality, philosophy, ancient symbology & lore, mythology across all cultures permeate throughout my work and art pieces.
It feels fantastic to use my hands to create objects of lasting beauty and longevity.
The pieces made in my studio are crafted - created with passion. They are true craftworks.
How it’s Made
This leather for the wrist strap was hand cut from an ultra-durable full grain vegetable tanned leather hide.
The strap was precision cut and the rose design was permanently etched into the leather.
The leather was specially hand dyed to enhance the natural beauty of the leather with a unique distressed finish, so it has a great vintage look.
Several top coats were applied to add a subtle satin finish that will both enhance the beauty and longevity of your strap.
The hardware was attached and riveted in place.
What is Vegetable Tanned Leather?
Vegetable tanning is an organic process to preserve the leather. It uses natural tannins from plant sources, making it more environmentally friendly. It’s a slow process which takes weeks to months to complete. Vegetable-tanned leather has some rigidity to it, which helps the product to retain its shape and integrity. Vegetable-tanned leather will soften and develop a rich patina over time, meaning your item will develop a unique and appealing appearance as it ages, only getting better with time. By contrast, chrome-tanned leather is quickly chemically and more inexpensively tanned. It may present toxins to the environment and manufacturing employees. "Vegan", faux, or PU leather is petroleum-based polyurethane/vinyl.
