I'm a 78 year old semi-retired vet who enjoys making just about anything from wood. As dangerous as it is I enjoy watching a piece come to life with the Lichtenberg burning. A great deal of care and pride goes into each individual piece.
How it’s Made
High Voltage is applied to the wood which burns marks that usually resemble lighting or trees.. The burns and wood are then are then cleaned to remove carbon left from the burn. The wood is then dyed to create the colors on the wood. Lastly the piece is given 3 to 5 coats of UV protection polyurethane and framed.
