In the pictures the paddles are True Blue, Scarlet, Cherry Blossom, Charcoal, and Hunter Green.
I start by looking through the stack of high quality pine. Looking at the grain, seeing which one grabs my attention. Cut the basic shape. Then take the router to it. Then the fun part of playing with water and exposed electricity (fractal wood burning). That is the part where it makes each paddle unique. You do have some control where the electricity makes its burns. But ultimately it goes where it wants to go. Then clean out the grooves the burn left behind. Mix up some epoxy and add a white pearlescent pigment and fill the grooves. And now to the sanding. So much fun lol. When first applying the finish the real beauty starts to appear. This takes about 4 days mostly because of the epoxy cure time.

Most of my life I have made stuff out of wood. Middle and high school always took the woodworking classes. Went to the career center some people call it vocational school for carpentry. But that was mostly building houses. Did have a job for a little bit framing houses. Wasn't working for me I guess I like working on the smaller stuff. Over the years I have made things for myself. If I made something for a present for someone it was always with wood. So at the end of 2018 I finally decided to take that step and do what I am good at. Specializing in custom handcrafted goods. Artistry isn’t just the execution and production of new Serenity Theory pieces, it’s also making sure each piece will look beautiful wherever it’ll be displayed or in use.
