About this Product
This pretty sachet features a vintage handkerchief corner embroidered with a bouquet of flowers (white lily-of-the-valley and small rose-pink flowers) tied with a rose-pink ribbon. It's layered over a second handkerchief with variegated light to dark pink tatted edging. Underneath is a contemporary golden-yellow and white polka dot cotton fabric. A stack of two vintage buttons—one white, one rose-pink and flower-shaped—secures the layers. It measures approximately 6" square.
Each of my sachets is filled with a mixture of French lavender buds and buckwheat hulls—the lavender for its intense scent and the buckwheat to make them a bit lighter for shipping. Use them to scent your linen cupboard and repel moths or keep it on your bedside table in case you have trouble falling asleep—smelling lavender is good for that. And the scent lasts for years, just give it a squeeze to refresh the scent.

Meet the Maker
I started Primrose Design in 2004, first creating pillows and then expanding to include a wide variety of handsewn items including lavender sachets, accessories, kitchen textiles, and home decor. All featuring beautiful vintage textiles from my personal collection and that I source from my weekend treasure hunting trips to flea markets, estate sales, and antique malls.

How it’s Made
Materials used: 100% cotton fabric, vintage handkerchiefs, vintage buttons, thread, lavender, buckwheat hulls
Shop Policies
Processing Time: All of my products are already made and ready to ship. Your package will ship in one to two business days.
Shipping: Shipping is via USPS Ground Advantage or Priority Mail depending on the size and weight of the item. I can ship internationally but not to Germany or France because I'm not licensed for their packaging restrictions. Please note that I cannot ship lavender sachets outside of the U.S. because of restrictions on plant materials (the lavender).
Returns: I do accept returns but, unless I've misrepresented the product in some way, return shipping costs are your responsibility. Please contact me as soon as possible if you have a problem with your order.
Care Instructions: Most of my products are made with vintage materials, which may be more delicate than contemporary, so I recommend spot cleaning.
