The Christmas Story first published in 1952 is a traditional, and charmingly illustrated Christmas story. I remember it from my childhood. This LBG altered journal is published in 1980. It is in very good condition with no marks or writing on the story pages. It is one of a kind. I have selected papers that echo the traditional reverence of the Christmas Story. There is much to explore in this LGB journal, there is also abundant space to add your own thoughts, notes, photos, and memories. This journal has 120 pages counting both sides including the story, 12 pockets/tucks, and 26 added cards or tags. It is one of a kind.

How it’s Made
Little Golden Book Altered Journals
These LGB altered journals are lovingly deconstructed and reassembled with a new wide spine. The golden spine is preserved as is the complete story so it still serves as a darling story book. The big plus is the addition of journal pages, pockets, tucks, tags, spine dangle, and assorted ephemera. I use new and found or unused thrifted papers, fabrics, ribbons and threads, which is what adds to the charm of these journals.
