Meet the Maker
Hello! I’m LM; I’m 29yo, non-binary, and located in Middle Tennessee. I live with a variety of mental illnesses as well as chronic illness, which I talk about often.
Night Owl Clay Co is my baby since I can’t work; in fact, disabled people are more likely to work for themselves, so that is what I’m trying to do. I love making polymer clay stuff and I am planning on expanding my crafts from just jewelry.
How it’s Made
Using polymer clay in a custom dark silver color, the clay gets rolled out and a texture stamp is used to make the silvery accents (squigglies, in this case.) I then lay it on a dark silver clay which serves as the backing. I grab some Sculpey Premo in the color White Pearl and cut it so that I have a bottom piece and a top piece, which are put together on top of the backing at the top and bottom edges of the silver accent piece. Then I cut it out using a clay cutter tool into a long rounded rectangle that tapers at the top. I roll out a bit of dark silver clay and made a border for my pieces. Then I put my pieces in the oven to bake, usually for at least an hour so that they will not break. After letting them cool off out of the oven, I do any sanding that needs to happen before putting on a varnish to give the necklace some sparkle. And that’s it!

Please provide a photo of damaged within 3 days of delivery. A full refund will be provided minus the cost of shipping.

Cancellations must be made within 24 hours of placing an order. Custom orders cannot be canceled once production has begun.
