Meet the Maker
Hello, I'm Katherine Trinity, the creative mind behind Trinity Stitches. I wanted to take a moment to share a bit about myself and the journey that led me to where I am today.
I come from Missouri, where I learned to crochet at the age of five. I was taught by my grandmother, and we would spend hours making granny squares together. Through my teens and 20s, I lost interest but gained it back in my 30s and I’ve been enjoying it ever since. In 2016, I learned to knit. I quickly developed a love of the finer fibers such as merino wool, cashmere, yak, and llama. They feel amazing flowing over my fingers while I am making something. I also love that these are renewable resources and are biodegradable. Merino wool is my favorite of the bunch, and it has so many amazing qualities. It will keep you cool when it’s hot and keep you warm when it’s cold. It is antimicrobial, moisture wicking, and hypoallergenic. You won’t find items made of acrylic in my shop. Occasionally, a bit may be blended in with the natural fibers. Many of my items are also made with hand dyed and/or hand spun wool. So, when you buy from me, you are also supporting those small maker businesses.
I love the art of turning “string” into something beautiful. I also love to see my customers wearing/using what I created for them. Please feel free to tag me on Instagram and/or Facebook. These pictures always make me smile. I knit for humans and their furry companions. Babies and dogs are some of my favorites to create for but I do those only on special orders so contact me if you are interested in those creations.
Thank you for taking the time to "Meet the Maker." I'm excited about the future and the creative adventures that lie ahead. If you have any questions or just want to say hello, feel free to reach out!
