This is the first piece in my series Christmas Creatures and Yuletide Spirits. This print features the Mari Llwyd of Wales. The ghostly white mare travels from house to house with her entourage, singing and challenging each household to a contest of wit. If the Mari wins, she comes in for a few drinks. If the household wins, she and her posse move on.
This is the original painting on 9x12 watercolor paper. Painting comes framed in a simple black gallery frame.
