About this Product

The Marlin Spike is a tool used in marine ropework, sometimes called a fid. Shaped in the form of a metal cone tapered to a point, they aid in such tasks as unlaying rope for splicing, untying knots, drawing marline tight using a marlinspike hitch, and as a toggle joining ropes under tension in a belaying pin splice.  Ever have really tight knot that is nearly impossible to untie by hand?  Employ one of these and get it loose in no time!

Hand machined from 1/2" diameter grade 5 titanium, corrosion resistant 655 silicon bronze, brass or copper, this feels great in the hand, and would make a great addition to your camping gear, boating gear, go-bag, etc.

Dimensions: .500" diameter X 6" long.

Weight (with lanyard and lanyard bead): Ti ~2.2oz/62g   Brass ~3.8oz/108g   Bronze ~4.2oz/120g

Comes with the lanyard and copper lanyard bead.
