About this Product
Are you looking to add some warm bright colors to your space ?? Go with a painting that is out of this world ?!
Mars Marvel is a 10" round canvas painting finished with a beautiful glossy coating and simple D-ring hardware for ease of hanging. The back of the canvas is signed by yours truly.
This painting is an original work of fluid art, and while the composition can be mimicked it cannot be fully replicated.
Mars Marvel is admittedly a piece that gave me mixed feelings from the get-go. It was one of those pieces that just turned out very (very) differently from what I'd imagined (which, coming from a fluid artist, is saying a lot ?), and I was really on the fence about scraping it or doing a pour-over once it had cured. But ultimately I couldn't. There's just something about it lol, and now it's looking for a home where it can be showcased and fully appreciated ?!

Meet the Maker
Hi all,
My name is Dina (dee-nuh), and I'm a neurodivergent fluid artist and crafter based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
My specialties are fluid art, crochet, and beadwork (although I'm currently focused on the latter). On occasion, I've also been known to dabble in other crafts. Whatever catches my attention, really.
All of the above are primarily my hobbies, but I also use them to help with my mental health. Like many people, I struggle with anxiety and depression and have found art (and crafting) to be incredibly therapeutic.
Over time, I've acquired so many finished projects that I've decided to start offering some of my work to the public, and I'm now registered as a (small) business. For those interested, DLA is both woman and Hispanic owned!
If you have any questions, inquiries, etc, please feel free to reach out.

Have a great one, y'all!

How it’s Made
This bloom swipe was made using a standard Artist's Loft ten inch round canvas along with a combination of house paint and acrylic paints mixed with my pouring medium (which is a recipe all on its own) for the colors and Australian Floetrol for the cell activator.
To make this style of painting, a layer of thicker house paint is poured onto and partially spread across the canvas. Next, the colors are drizzled on where and however the artist desires. In this case, I added my colors closer to the edge on one side and arched them to line up with the edge of the canvas. This was followed by applying the cell activator to my swiping tool (a palette knife) and repeatedly running it from the colors at the edge across the canvas. After this, I "wrecked" the design meaning I took a skewer and drew squiggles through the parts I didn't favor previously. Lastly, the painting (which was already positioned on a cake spinner) was spun multiple times in both directions the stretch the composition.
After a painting has been dried and left to cure for several weeks I then apply several coats of a gloss finishing spray to add shine and project the piece.
Finally, after the last coat of spray is dry, I decide where to place the hanging hardware and screw that in with a drill.
*At some point during this process all of my paintings are also signed and dated. My preference is the frame or back of the canvas.
