This white birch talking stick is centered around the medicine wheel, a powerful part of many ancient cultures.
The circle in the middle is based on the Lakota medicine wheel colors - black, red, yellow and white.
It is a representation of the four winds, directions and elements.
Other interpretations of the wheel may also include the Shamanic archetypes (serpent, jaguar, hummingbird and eagle + condor).
White birch is known for rebirth and renewal.
A turquoise donut crystal wrapped in black leather cord connects the circle.
The symbol for a medicine man/woman is painted in brown acrylics right above the circle.
Below the circle a turtle spirit is featured in brown and blue tones, representing healing, wisdom, spirituality and Mother Earth.
Natural feathers with beads, banana fiber tassel and recycled silk sari ribbon are also part of the design.
The overall size of this talking stick is approx. 18 inches tall and 1.5-2 inches in diameter (shown is a thickness of 2 inches).
Each birch wand will slightly vary in dimensions and the design will be very similar to the one shown in pictures.
