About this Product
This neck and earring set is made of Mediterranean coral and turquoise beads braided into a necklace with handmade Egyptian silver beads and sterling silver clasp. The earrings are made of the same beads with sterling silver ear wires. The color combination is lovely. The necklace measures 16.25" in length and the earrings are 2" long. I purchased the turquoise many years ago. It is a stabilized product and I don’t know its origin.
Corals are marine organisms found around the world's oceans. They form hard protective exoskeletons that make up coral reefs, and we use that part for jewelry. It's one of a few organic gemstones, including amber, pearls, and ivory. Coral comes in many colors, but natural red coral is the most prized and expensive, because it is the most rare from over-harvesting.

Turquoise is a very well-known stone, having been used for ornamental uses for millennia around the world, like North America, China, India, and the Middle East. Natural stones are most commonly known in blue hues, but greens are found just as often. Though dyed stones and imitations like magnesite and howlite are now everywhere, nothing beats a beautiful, natural turquoise.
Turquoise is one of the birthstones of December, joining tanzanite and blue zircon.

I am the mother of three daughters. I also have four grandchildren, 2 boys and 2 girls. We all live here & see each other nearly everyday. I am very blessed.

I take my work seriously. I use the best materials and am proud of my creations. I’m in love with color change gemstones and feature them as often as I can. I also love American Gemstones and do some rock hounding myself.
