This is a cash envelope system (i.e. Dave Ramsey, Financial Peace University, Total Money Makeover, etc.).
⭐️ The system comes with the following items:
- A wallet with embroidered Mickey Mouse heads on the front
- 12 cash envelopes in Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, or Mickey & Minnie
- 12 Cash envelope register inserts in Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, or Mickey & Minnie
⭐️ Optional: additional cash envelopes and/or register inserts are available for purchase
⭐️ The cash envelopes are available in 4 types of envelopes. The Basic is what comes with the system. However, you can upgrade to one of the 3 other available options:
- Basic - lightweight paper (approximately 24lb to 28lb paper)
- Deluxe - medium-weight paper (approximately 32lb to 40lb paper)
- Premium - heavyweight paper/cardstock (approximately 60lb to 65lb paper)
- Platinum - very heavyweight paper/heavier-weight cardstock. (approximately 90lb to 110lb paper)
⭐️ The register inserts are printed on lightweight cardstock paper, and they're printed on both sides of the insert.

Meet the Maker
Hello. I'm Kristena Tunstall. In the Fall of 2007, my husband and I went through Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University. We were taught through this program about a Zero Balanced Budget and to use a cash envelope system, learning to pay what you can in cash instead of debit/credit card.
While you receive cash envelopes with the system, they were generic, and the quality didn't hold up very long for how much we used them. It was a few years later that I decided to create my own cash envelope template originally in MS Word. I'd found really cute Mickey and Minnie scrapbook papers that I printed the template on, cut them out, folded, and glued them together. I realized that the ends of the envelope needed some form of protection, and this is how the creatively matched ends that go really well with the main envelope came into being.
I fell in love with what I created. When we went out in public to shop, I was asked where I'd purchased the envelopes. It was this very question that led me to start selling my cash envelopes. For the first few years, I purchased really cute scrapbook papers, and made them the same way I first created them.
Then, just over a year ago or so, I decided to switch from preprinted papers to moving my template into Photoshop and creating my own envelope designs to sell. While I do have many already created cash envelopes available for purchase, most of my designs are made once the order is placed. I do this so I can customize each person's order based on their preferences.
While I have several listing options to choose from, I also take custom requests. This is actually how the Harry Potter, Beauty and the Beast, and the Toy Story listing became new listings.

How it’s Made
I created the cash envelope template I use because I first created it for me and my husband to use in our own cash budget system. I wanted to create a cash envelope we loved while also in a design I loved, it would hold together really well, and be very easy to use once made and put into use. Each cash envelope I create is either printed on scrapbook paper or from a digital cash envelope design I've personally created. Once I've printed out the envelopes needed, I cut them out, fold them, and glue them together to form the main part of the envelope. I then added to the sides of the envelope, which is a protective end that helps the durability of the envelope while enhancing the overall design.
For the wallet, while I did purchase them, I took apart and redesigned the inside of the wallet for a better fit to hold the cash envelopes while still allowing for a zippered coin area. I seam rip out the extra divider. I then trim down the excess material on the sides, pinning the sides together to form the new interior of the wallet. I then resew the sides together on my sewing machine.
