The hanging of mistletoe is such a wonderful and cute tradition for the holidays, but did you know that mistletoe is actually toxic to children and pets if ingested? This stained glass version is not only a safer option, it is also a unique and long lasting version. Unlike real mistletoe which is thrown out and the end of the season, this stained glass piece will last a lifetime as long as it's taken care of.
It features several individual leaves that are all cut, shaped and assembled by hand. Another detail is the pearlescent glass beads used to mimic the white berries of this plant with the cherry on top being the classic red ribbon bow.
While this is a much safer option for children and pets, remember that this is still made with glass and solder that contains some lead so it should always be displayed out of reach of children and pets.

Meet the Maker
My name is Madilyn, I am 24 and have been creating stained glass since December 2020. I now make glass art full time and have never been happier.
I first discovered stained glass when I came across glass artists online and was instantly in love with the process, but it didn't occur to me that I could actually do it too. A few days before Christmas I mention to my mom how amazing I thought these glass artists were, and she surprised me Christmas morning with most everything I needed to get started and I have been obsessed ever since.
On the rare occasion I am not doing glass art, I enjoy spending time in nature with my boyfriend and my dog. I get a lot of inspiration from nature and the peace and quite is a great way to reset my brain.
