Mixed Media Canvas Art! A handmade art piece. The size of the canvas is 8×10 inches. I love creating these pieces. I used metal, wood, and silicone embellishments. Also, I used fibers and paper flowers for decoration. A protective coating was applied for protection. It is a great gift for a dear friend or yourself! I hope you love it as much as I love making it.
Care: Do not wash it or hang it outside. Indoor use only. Clean with a clean soft cloth.

How it’s Made

Here is the process.
Design: I start with planning and designing the canvas. I have to measure and choose the designs and or combination of elements that I want to use on the canvas... After that, I start molding it.
Molding: I will first prep my canvas by applying gesso to make sure my surface is ready to be worked on. I will mold my pieces out of air-dried clay and glue them to the canvas after decoupaging my rice paper to the canvas. I have to wait for it to completely dry before I seal it for the first coat, and I will move to the painting process.
Paint: I will paint my canvas and seal it multiple times between coats of paint. When all the painting is done I will move to the last step of sealing the canvas.
Sealing: Now most of it is done. I will check and make sure that everything is looking good before the last coat of sealer.
Drying: The last step is drying. Usually, it will take a few days for it to fully dry, and then I can add gold wax and other embellishments in the end.
