I like to say these earrings are asymmetrical but equal. Rounded copper squares have a smaller squares pierced out (in different places), with a hand forged sterling silver ear wires attached. They were given a brushed finish, which will darken with time if you let them be, or stay bright if cleaned with a jewelry cloth. They are approximately 1-1/4 inches from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the earring; the drop is a little over half an inch wide and tall.

Meet the Maker
The words argento and kupra mean “silver” and “copper” in Esperanto, a constructed language developed to foster peace and international understanding. Silver and copper are my favorite materials to work with, often combined in the same piece.
I have always been a scribbler, doodler, fidgeter and maker, but found my true calling when I took my first jewelry class. I took a few more classes and workshops to learn metalworking basics, but gained the most by trial, error, experimentation, frustration and epiphany!
I'm inspired by the traditional Japanese aesthetic called wabi-sabi, which is centered on acceptance of transience and imperfection.
My jewelry is simple. Shapes and clean lines with textural elements. It's also imperfect. Pieces may be asymmetrical or show the work of my hands and tools. My jewelry is also impermanent, made to be worn often (and perhaps worn out).
My hope always is that you wear my jewelry happily for many years, changing as you change. Perfectly imperfect.
How it’s Made
I work in a small studio in my home. I fabricate everything by hand using traditional jeweler’s tools and supplies, including jeweler’s saws, hammers, stamps, files and polishing wheels. Everything is soldered using a small butane torch.
My raw materials are copper, brass, and sterling silver sheet, copper and sterling silver wire, fine silver bezel wire, semi-precious gemstone cabochons and beads, and “found objects” – coins, shells and other things that catch my eye. Occasionally I do use pre-made components, such as bezel cups.
Every piece is filed and sanded smooth for comfortable wear, cleaned and polished. Then they’re ready for you to wear.

I don't have the capacity of eBay or Amazon, so all sales are final. If items arrive damaged, or don't arrive at all, I will make it right for you. I will ship items via USPS Ground Advantage within three business days of orders. Standard shipping is $6.50 per order, up to five items.
