As husband and wife, we're a pair of makers and crafters that love to build beautiful things that are a joy to look at, feel, and use.
We think there's a lot of joy in hand-made goods, whether it be art, furniture, trinket boxes, games, or some combination of all of these. Each variation represents the care and humanity that went in to it, the evidence of the attention to detail and skill of the builder.
Our little herd of pets join us in the shop to supervise our work and ensure we're thorough and punctual! Between our two cats, Tracer and Cricket, and our Shepard mutt pup Shasta, we stay well supervised in our crafts.

How it’s Made
Some parts of this piece are wrapped in cord to make the seat, but for those that aren't we pick out beautiful boards that allow us to showcase lovely grain. We use a combination of floating tenons and half-lap joints to assembly this elegant modern entry bench.
The seat is woven by hand using Danish paper cord, which came about during World War II when other weaving materials were harder to come by. The weave results in ~1,100 ft of cord being used to create this comfortable and stylish bench.
An oil-wax finish on the wood protects it while providing a lovely sheen, and shellac protects the cord from dirt and grime.
