About this Product

A gorgeous archival quality Giclée print depicting the monarch butterfly life cycle.

A perfect gift for nature lovers.

See a caterpillar become a chrysalis and ultimately emerge as a Monarch Butterfly. Follow the metamorphosis in this very realistic print.

Printed on 100% cotton rag paper, this is a lovely art print for yourself, a friend, a child, or a teacher.

My original illustration was painted in watercolor. This image is approximately 8.75" wide by 3.25" high. It is printed with archival pigments on 8.5" x 11" matte finish 100% cotton rag paper. This is archival paper: acid free, lignin free, and OBA free (optical brightener additives). The paper is 314 gsm, or approximately 120 pound weight, 19 mil.

I will sign your print on the front and there will not be a watermark. I retain rights to the image.

* Gift: I would be happy to send this directly to someone special as a gift. I can include a little hand written note so they feel a connection to you. Please add the recipient's address when you check out and let me know what you would like to say in the 'Contact Maker'.

* Processing - Shipping Time: this print will be on its way to you in 1-2 business days by USPS Priority Mail. It will come in a cello sleeve and sturdy mailer with extra cardboard to ensure it arrives flat and ready to give as a gift or enjoy for yourself. Shipping within the United States is free.

Meet the Maker

Welcome! I am an artist-maker living in Maine. I work in my studio which is attached to our 200 year-old farm house overlooking the Sheepscot River.

My style is precise, colorful, and often a bit playful. When I'm not painting I can be found knitting, gardening, babysitting grandkids, or walking our dog along the river.

Previously I taught Visual Arts with National Board Certification at the Elementary and Middle School levels. Before settling in Maine over 30 years ago, I graduated from the Putney School in Vermont and received my BFA in Drawing/Painting from California College of the Arts.

My intention is to create work that is uplifting, soulful, and inspiring. I primarily work in watercolor. For some illustrations and paintings I use acrylic gouache, ink, and acrylics. I have 2 high-end printers for printing my Giclée Fine Art prints and Greeting Cards. I contract with professional printers for my other products. All artwork in my shop is my own creation.

I hope you find something for yourself here, or a special gift for someone. ♥
