About this Product
This sling may be compact, but it can still hold all the essentials inside the spacious interior. It is made to be worn higher across the chest or back, or as a belt bag when the strap is at its shortest length. It measures 6.5" high by 9.5" wide and has a 2" depth. The exterior features a heathered canvas print with cork accents on the flap, which provides closure with a swivel clasp. The back features a large zipper pocket lined with cotton, and can hold even the largest phones. The interior is made with a beautiful monarch butterfly cotton print and has a spacious zipper pocket for keeping cards and cash secure. The 1" wide shoulder strap is made with a comfortable yet durable nylon webbing, also in a monarch butterfly print, and is adjustable, measuring from 26" to 42" in length (including the "wings" on each top corner of the bag). All hardware is in an antique brass finish.
*Please Note: The final picture of this bag shows the minor flaw of fading within the underside of the webbing, which I only discovered after I had received my webbing order; therefore, I felt this bag should be marked down, even though the faded area may never be noticed while in use.

Meet the Maker
Hello! I'm Angie ~ Welcome to my shop, Gal Alex Bags, which I lovingly chose from a combination of my two children's middle names.
I create carefully handcrafted one-of-a-kind purses, slings, backpacks and wallets in my home sewing studio. My love for sewing goes back to middle school when I first took Home Economics and learned how to hand embroider and sew the basics, like pillow covers and pot holders. Fast forward to January of 2021, when I decided I'd like to start making my own purses, just so I could carry something unique that I knew no one else was carrying. So, with the help of online patterns and YouTube tutorials, my passion for sewing unique bags and wallets blossomed.
Over time, friends and family began to make positive comments, so I started giving my creations as gifts. I've always loved seeing others' delight and hearing the compliments on my craftsmanship and choice of materials. With the encouragement and support of my family, I decided to create this site to share my designs, and possibly enchant others when they happen upon a bag or wallet different from any they've ever seen.

How it’s Made
Every item in my shop is handmade by me, with the use of my industrial sewing machines, in my smoke-free and pet-free home. I strive to use only the highest quality vinyl, cork, cotton and canvas that I can, along with premium bonded nylon thread and choice hardware, in order to create distinctive yet durable, long-lasting accessories. The time commitment for each of my items varies depending on size and difficulty, but are typically made over a two or three day period. I very rarely make two of the same thing, as I do believe variety is the spice of life!

Processing Time: Your purchase will be shipped FREE in 1-2 days, and a tracking number will be provided.
Care Instructions: None of my bags or wallets can be machine washed; for vinyl, cotton or canvas, wipe clean only with a damp cloth. Waxed canvas, while durable, will still show marks and creases even more over time, due to its "naturally distressed" look, but can be wiped clean gently with a damp cloth if needed. And to clarify, any bags with water-resistant canvas are only resistant to liquids; any liquid will bead on the surface, but still soak in slowly. This type of fabric is not considered waterproof.
