Hello all,
I’m a self taught SFX creator. I just love doing it. My work space is in my basement. I really enjoy making prosthetics. They can be very time consuming and sometimes pricey, but it’s all worth it once you apply them and completely change yourself from human to monster. I started out making my own prosthetics while working at a haunted house. I wanted my characters to be as realistic, disgusting and evil as possible, without wearing a mask. I have achieved that on several occasions.
I hope that I can help you achieve that as well.

How it’s Made
Hey there!
I wanted to take a moment to share the story behind how I crafted each Vampire Prince Monster Tiki Torch in my basement workshop. It’s a labor of love that I pour my heart into, and I hope it gives you a glimpse into the creation process!
First, I start by sculpting the design from scratch, turning my vision of the Vampire Prince into a tangible form. Once I have the sculpture just right, I mold it to capture all the little details that make each piece special. Next comes the roto-casting process, where I use high-quality casting resin to create the final shape of the torch.
After the casting, I go through each torch carefully, trimming any excess material and making sure everything is smooth and polished. I then cut out holes for the torch fittings and give them a thorough wash to ensure they're perfectly clean and ready for painting.
When it’s time to add color, I reach for my Createx water-based acrylic paints. These are fantastic because they're vibrant and environmentally friendly too! Once the paint is dry, I apply a top coat of Createx UVLS satin finish to not only enhance the colors but also to protect the torch from the sun’s rays and make it fire retardant. This way, you can enjoy its beauty with peace of mind!
Each step is carefully done by hand, making every Vampire Prince tiki torch truly unique. I take pride in the quality and creativity that goes into each and every piece, and I hope you love the character and charm it brings to your outdoor space!
