These little cards came about as a result of my looking for a simple way to help my children remember the lunar phases. They consist of 8 little watercolor paintings along with a few fun facts. (Each card is approximately 3.5" x 5") This listing includes both the Northern & Southern Hemisphere sets formatted for 8.5x11, and the 8.5x11 PDF file for the Lunar Log cover + instructions. We love to sketch the phases of the moon with white color pencils or gel pens on black pages. The log comes with an extra (optional) page that slips in just after the cover and includes a blank for your child's name, important terms and usage suggestions, as well as a sweet poem at the end.
The little books go together very easily and the included instructions cover both staple and stitch binding. We like to use black or dark blue paper for the pages and draw with a white color pencil, but they work just as well when made with plain paper and pencil. These are digital files only.
The set of PDF pages comes complete with directions, cover card and a band for packaging as gifts. Terrific for the young star gazer in your life! The file will be available for immediate download once payment is confirmed. I do my best to portray colors accurately, however different monitors will vary in how they display colors.
This file can be printed at home, your local print shop or with your favorite online printer such as Vista Print, Shutterfly, Amazon Prints, Overnight Prints, etc.

When I began to homeschool my oldest in 1998, I went looking for lovely, nature inspired materials. When I couldn’t find what I was searching for, I decided to create them myself.
