Hola everyone, I'm Janet Dineen, a Mosaic Artist, living and working in South Texas. I've been creating mosaic art for over 30 years. The mosaic surfboards are my latest creations. They are 5 feet tall by just under two feet wide. They are made to attach directly to your house. Each one takes about 85 hours to complete.
The mosaic house numbers are made on cement board, the grey board that shower and tub surrounds are made from. The cement board is attached to outdoor plywood that is sealed and painted with outdoor paint. The artwork can be screwed directly to your house with screws that are to be hidden under tiles, the tiles put back over the screw and then grouted. All hardware and directions will be provided. So far, our projects have been local and we have installed them ourselves. If you prefer a less complicated form of installation, D hooks and a heavy duty wire can be attached to the back. The mosaics are heavy so you must be sure to hang on a stud or into wood.

Several of my mosaic house numbers survived Hurricane Harvey in Port Aransas and are still hanging on the homes we hung them on about 10 years ago.

I got away from mosaics for a while in order to make Lazy Susans. I missed working with tile, and decided to get back into it.

There is a lot of back and forth before and during the making of the mosaic. You give me your ideas, I draw and send some preliminary sketches, we go back and forth till we get the design to your liking. I then start on the project. I can only do one per month.

I've never shipped one, and I don't know what it will cost, but it will not be a bargain. I'd prefer delivery or pickup in Texas. Communication is key to making something like this happen. I'm easy to work with and I will not be offended if you don't like my sketches or want to change things. I want you to be happy with the finished project.
