Hi, I’m Wanda, the heart and hands behind Vijara.
Growing up in the forests and farmlands of Northern California, and spending over 25 years as a yoga practitioner, including a decade as a teacher, I have long appreciated the quiet spaces, especially during the most chaotic of times. Just like you, my life has been both messy and magical. But no matter what's going on, I always return to the healing space on my mat and within.
The Meaning Behind Vijara
Vijara (pronounced vee-yar-uh) is inspired by the Sanskrit language and represents “sacred transformation.” Vijara speaks of growth, renewal, and the courage to embrace change. It’s about connecting with the seasons of life and finding beauty in every phase. From statement pieces to minimalist designs, my jewelry is meant to evolve with you, becoming part of your everyday rituals.
Recycled silver & ethical gemstones
I also believe that we're the stewards of this planet and it's our responsibility to take care of the environment. That’s why it’s important to consider the materials I choose to craft and package your jewelry, as well as reducing energy and water consumption. Most of my work is created using recycled silver to reduce the need for new mining and to honor the earth’s resources.

How it’s Made
Handcrafted in my California studio...
Every piece of jewelry starts at my workbench, where I shape, solder, and set each design by hand. I first discovered metalsmithing in 2020, when the world grew quiet and classrooms became Zoom rooms. From the moment I made a simple ginkgo leaf pendant, I was hooked — and I’ve been creating ever since.
I work with hand tools and small equipment to bring out the beauty of sterling silver and carefully chosen stones. I use gemstones that are either reclaimed or cut by USA-based lapidary artists, and most of my silver is recycled. The result is jewelry that’s thoughtful, sustainable, and made to be truly one-of-a-kind just for you!

Shipping
Vijara Jewelry items always include free USPS Ground shipping to anywhere in the United States. As many products are made or assembled when ordered, please allow 3-5 business days before shipping out. Orders typically arrive within 10 business days. If you haven’t received your package in 15 business days, please contact me.
Returns
If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your purchase, Vijara Jewelry has an easy 30-day return policy. Simply mail the item back to me in the original packaging. Refunds or replacements will be handled within 3-5 business days of receiving the return. Refunds will be issued using the method originally paid.
