Your Art Print will be created onto premium-quality heavyweight paper with an 8-ink process for vibrant, fade-proof color that illuminates YOUR space. Your smooth matte Archival Print will be hand-signed and carefully packaged for safe travels into your hands. I use archival materials so your ready-to-frame artwork will have 100+ beautiful years to inspire tender memories and touch hearts.
Prints 12x12 or smaller are bagged to ship in a sturdy mailer, the title of the Art Print is written on the backing board. Most Art Prints have a small 1/8-inch border and fit standard frames. Embellished Prints have 3/4-inch borders around the image.

A 12x12 Thick Margin Print is hand-accented with paint for brush-stroke texture. I take your print to my clean work table and add an artist’s touch to make your Embellished Print a one-of-a-kind piece of art. I autograph the front and sign and date the back of your Embellished Print. Your print is then packaged in an acid free bag with a backing board, and gift wrapped before shipping in a sturdy mailer.
An Embellished Print allows for eye color changes, or color accents added to hair. I can darken or lighten hair, or add some facial hair, all with paint. I can even add names or dates, written with fine marker. Provide notes at check-out if you'd like your Embellished Print personalized with eye or hair color adjustments.

Meet the Maker
An internationally collected artist, American painter Katie m. Berggren focuses exclusively on painting motherhood and being a mother ~ every day. With a husband and two teenage sons, a busy online store, blog, and commissioned (custom) painting clients from around the world, she is grateful for her career as an artist and mother. Katie has been cited as the #1 Motherhood Artist in America.

When you shop here you are buying direct from the artist. I am a wife and a mother of two sons in the USA. I create my sentimental mother and child paintings one by one in my studio, and sell them direct to my many collectors.

Growing up as youngest in a family of 4 children, I relished time & space to explore through writing, drawing and people-watching. Always interested in the dynamic relationships between those around me, I later narrowed that focus to study the sweetness between mothers and their children.
As a mostly self-taught painter, I started my first business in high school when I launched a pencil-portrait business. Graphic design and illustration took me to Central Washington University and after creating and selling art while also owning a graphic design business for 6 years, I chose to focus exclusively on painting in 2008.
Each day I strive to balance being a loving mother and a good businesswoman, while capturing intimate moments of motherhood in paint, with whimsical compositions and soothing colors. I do NOT always find balance :)
There is a daily conflict for a mother of young children. For me it is a challenge that reawakens every morning as I balance my desire to be a patient, graceful mother and at the same time fulfill an instinctive urge to bring forth the creations of my soul and realize my dreams.
Being an artist who works from a home studio is also, perhaps most importantly, the way I model to my children the value of following their dreams and exploring their gifts.
Regardless what life chooses to throw our way, these gentle and timeless moments are captured for all eternity. May these loving celebrations of motherhood inspire you, give you hope, bring you peace, and reassure you that good things are always possible.

I want you to be 100% happy with the art you surround yourself with. When you place a KmBerggren print or original painting on the wall of your home, you are allowing my art to tell your story, and I am honored. When you purchase from my Online Shop, you have the option of swapping out one print for another, if you decide within 5 days that another piece is calling for you more loudly. Reach out to me using the form at the bottom of this page.
Refunds
If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, please contact me within 5 days of receipt, so that I can make it right. If you would like a refund for your order, I will ask that you ship your package back to me and I will reimburse your charges for the item, the original shipping, AND the return shipping you paid to get the piece back to me. I want you to be 100% satisfied.
Returns & Exchanges
If you would like to make a swap, say, the piece you originally chose doesn’t feel like the “right” one for your home now that you have it, I will ask that you ship the package back to me, let me know your new artwork choice, and I will pay the shipping to ship you a new print. Any charges for size upgrades will be due, of course. I want you to LOVE the pieces you surround yourself with!
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact me immediately if the item is damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that I can make things right.

How it’s Made
I take high-quality scans or photos of my finished original paintings and use those photos to create these printed reproductions of my artwork. These prints are frameable and archival, meaning they are made with acid-free ink and are expected to last 150-200 years if well taken care of and not displayed in direct sunlight.
I bag my prints in an acid-free sleeve with a recycled backing board. Prints ship in a recyclable mailer with artsy paper tape.
Shop Policies
Refunds & Exchanges
If your item arrives damaged or is incorrect, please contact Katie within 5 days of receipt, with a photo of what you received. I will ask that you ship the artwork back to me in the original packaging. Once your item is received, I will refund your charges for the item, the original shipping, and the return shipping.
If you would like to exchange the piece you purchased for a different design, let me know within 5 days of receipt. I will ask that you ship the artwork back to me and let me know your new choice. Once the item is received in new condition, I will pay the shipping costs to ship your new piece. Any charges for size/format upgrades will be due before shipping.
If the address entered at time of ordering was entered incorrectly and your package did not arrive, let me know and I can assist you in placing a new order.
Buyers outside the USA, please note that VAT Taxes, Import Fees, Customs Fees and Duties that you may have paid to receive your package are not refundable.

FAQ
Q: Do you custom paint for families; can you create a painting inspired by myself and my children? A: Absolutely ~ I am honored to create paintings inspired by the affection and connection of specific mothers and their child(ren). Most important to note, however, is that I focus on capturing the emotion and connection between family members – instead of a photo likeness. I like to see photos for inspiration, hair and eye color, and I like to know names and ages and anything else that is interesting ~ but I do not strive for a likeness of the individuals. I strive to create a flowing, loving and emotional piece inspired by your family’s connection.

Q: What if I can’t decide on a piece that represents my whole family, or me and all of my kids? A: A great idea that MANY collectors have is to choose a print or painting that represents mama with EACH child individually. We have different relationships with each of our children ~ each deserves its own unique celebration. The chosen prints can hang together in a collage, or separately, perhaps near or in each child’s bedroom.
I encourage you to follow your heart through the paintings in the shop and choose those that speak to you, that bring feelings of peace and whole-heartedness ~ regardless of eye or hair colors.
