Blue glazed stoneware bowl, thrown on a potter's wheel and altered with a squared rim. Attractive and practical, it is the perfect size for cereal, soup or a side salad.

capacity: approximately 4 1/2 cups
As with all ceramic products this bowl must be handled carefully. Although I hire-fire for added durability, potteriy is prone to cracks if dropped or knocked. Microwave and dishwasher safe, but gentle handwashing is recommended. Avoid temperature shock by heating things slowly, evenly and carefully.

How it’s Made
Creamy white stoneware is formed ‘thrown’ on my potter’s wheel. When completely dry the bowl is fired first to cone 06 (approximately 1830 degrees) in my electric kiln. After completely cooled it is then glazed…sometimes dipped, sometimes brushed, occasionally sprayed, maybe all three! Fired again to cone 6 (approximately 2,232 degrees)
