Using a powerful water jet, we cut both the fused glass and stainless steel into matching shapes. These pieces are then adhered together with state-of-the-art adhesive, resulting in a sturdy and unique piece. The final touch is connecting the necklace to a bail, completing the creation process.
The Magic of Dichroic Glass: Dichroic glass contains multiple micro-layers of metal oxides, allowing it to display colors depending on the angle of light and view. The term "dichroic" means "two colors." In our name necklaces, you will primarily see a mesmerizing blue reflection. The glass is heated in a kiln to high temperatures (around 1400-1600 degrees Fahrenheit) until it melts and fuses, allowing for intricate designs and patterns to emerge.
