Made in the USA, Dichroic glass is a high-tech spin-off of glass developed by NASA for astronauts' programs, glass. Dichroic glass is 50 micro-thin layers of different metals that are permanently adhered to the surface of a piece of glass. The colors are very vivid and metallic. Change according to the angle they are viewed from. Just Amazing!! The photo is only a representation given the variances in photography and the fact that Dichroic glass is the most challenging to photograph due to the changes in the color of colors from various perspectives.

How it’s Made
Our Name Necklace combines fused glass and a stainless steel base. We start by creating an illustrator file of the desired name. We cut the fused glass and stainless steel into the same shape using a powerful water jet. The two parts are glued together with state-of-the-art adhesive, producing a robust and unique piece. Finally, the necklace is connected to a bail, completing the creation process.
What is a Fused Dichroic Glass Necklace:
Dichroic Glass: This type of glass has multiple micro-layers of metal oxides, which give it a unique ability to display two different colors depending on the angle of light and view. The term "dichroic" means "two colors."
Fusing Process: The glass is heated in a kiln to high temperatures (around 1400-1600 degrees Fahrenheit) until it melts and fuses. This process can involve layering different pieces of dichroic glass to create intricate designs and patterns.
