Bright rich blue natural Zircon(.55ct,SI, Cambodia) hand set in 14K Rose Gold Vermeil on a 14K Rose Gold Vermeil chain. Radiant zircon is the oldest known gemstone, with some crystals dating back 4 billion years, but also perhaps the most misunderstood. Unfortunately, due to the similarity of zircon's name to the lab created diamond simulant cubic zirconia, many people don't realize that zircon is a beautiful, naturally occurring stone with its own merits. Thanks to its tremendous fire and dispersion, it has been considered a less-expensive stand-in for diamond for many years, although zircon gives us many reasons to sing its praises and appreciate it in its own light. Blue Zircon comes only from Cambodia, making it far rarer the blue Diamonds. With a Mohs of 9.5+ it is the closest to Diamonds in hardness. This item can be made with other natural gemstones. Meet the Maker
I have been a small organic farmer here in Pennsylvania for over 40 yrs, raising sheep, poultry, honey bees, and organic fruits and veggies. I have worked & studied gemstones & jewelry design, as well as being a master chef owning my own restaurant. I was raised learning the "old ways" of making daily living items from my Grandmother using what we grew.
How it’s Made
I hand make all my jewelry with precious metals and natural gemstones
I do all my own gold plating. Each piece is individually plated by hand ensuring coverage and quality of the plating. I plate in not just the white, yellow, and Rose Gold, but also platinum, palladium, Rhodium, and black Rhodium. If you would like a piece; either one from my store or one you already have; plated please contact me for availability and pricing. Each piece is assessed on an individual basis.
Shop Policies
Returns: I must be contacted with 24hrs of receipts of delivery, a return agreement issued, items must be return in original unused condition. Buyer pays return shipping.
