Amazing natural Chrome Diopside(.1ct,SI, Russia) hand set in a 925 sterling silver ring. Chrome Diopside is mined above the Arctic Circle in Siberia, weather & extreme cold limits mining to the 3 summer month were temperatures rich a high of 60*F. With the passing away of the mines owner, Russian permits needing to be renewed, future of this mine, the only mine for this gemstone, is in limbo.
Recently no new stones have been coming out of Russia since the Ukraine war. Available Chrome Diopside has been limited to stock already in circulation, or collections. This has caused a supply chain deficit, and prices soaring.

I have worked & studied gemstones & jewelry design, as well as being a master chef owning my own restaurant. I was raised learning the "old ways" of making daily living items from my Grandmother using what we grew.
