Pick your style of unwaxed gray lava beads on a stainless steel chain. The chain is about 1.5mm thick, so it’s rather dainty looking, but durable. This necklace is perfect to wear alone or layered with your other favorites. It is great for adding a drop of essential oil, or to wear as is. >>>These necklaces are made with gray lava beads. The wires, chains, and clasps of these necklaces are stainless steel. Why stainless steel? I use it because many people who are sensitive to other metals can wear stainless steel with no problem. Also, it is an easy-care metal, tarnish resistant, strong, and has a pretty silver color I love.

Meet the Maker
Hi, I’m Heather, the maker behind Pop Of Pretty Designs! Several years ago my grandma gave me a necklace to go with this particular favorite outfit. I decided to look for coordinating earrings to go with it, but couldn’t find anything that quite fit it. I had this picture in my head…and it didn’t exist in any store. I like making things, so I decided to try my hand at creating my own earrings to go with that necklace. I found the perfect beads, crafted the perfect earrings (which I still have), and the rest is history! Today I make all my jewelry myself in my home in small town southern Indiana. My personal style is very eclectic, so I tend to enjoy the creating process the most. It can get pretty messy! Sometimes I start with a picture in my head, like I did with that very first pair of earrings. But often, I look at my stones and beads and see what jumps out at me that day, and go from there. As 2024 gets underway, I’ve decided to focus on my aromatherapy lava jewelry. They’re my best sellers, and the lava jewelry world is ready for a little of my unique style. Thanks for stopping by! How it’s Made
-MY LAVA BEADS and ESSENTIAL OIL USE-
>>The lava beads I use in my aromatherapy designs are all genuine lava and ready to absorb your favorite essential oils if you so choose. I source my lava unwaxed when possible. If not, then I remove as much of the wax coating as I can before including them in my designs so that they will absorb essential oils easier.
>>I also test the other beads that I use in the design to make sure essential oils will not negatively effect them. (Of course, you should be aware that essential oil with any color to it may discolor any light or white colored beads, so you may want to use only colorless oils with those.)

Shop Policies
Processing (and shipping) times: I will package and ship your order in 2-3 days, excluding Sunday. I generally ship USPS ground advantage, formerly known as first class, so the shipping time will vary based on your location and the efficiency of the Postal Service. But generally allow a week.
Return policy: I have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. What that means for you is that if you are not happy with my jewelry, for any reason, you may return it for a replacement or refund (at my discretion). The buyer will be responsible for return shipping, and I will issue the refund or replacement as soon as I receive the returned item in its unworn original condition. How does it work? Please contact me within two weeks of receiving your item to start the process. I would appreciate the opportunity to alleviate the situation and make sure you are happy with your purchase!
Care instructions, for Lava stone jewelry: Lava is a natural porous stone that will absorb liquids, oils, odors, etc. Do not wear your lava jewelry swimming or showering, but if you want to clean it occasionally, you can gently clean it with mild soapy water, rinse well, pat dry, and leave to air dry thoroughly. Do not soak it as the lava is porous and will soak up the soap and water.
FAQ-how to use lava stone jewelry with essential oils: You can use essential oils neat (undiluted) or diluted on your lava stones, depending on your personal preference. (Keep in mind whether your lava jewelry will be touching your skin or your clothing.) Simply add a drop, and let it soak in or rub it in. If you have sensitive skin, you may want to let it dry before wearing it. I personally use it undiluted, and sometimes I let it dry, and sometimes I don’t, depending on how big of a hurry I am in! But remember, some essential oils are very strong and should not be used directly on your skin. So see what works for you. A little goes a long way. One drop on a piece of jewelry is sufficient. (Also, please keep in mind that essential oils that have a color to them (like blue tansy for instance) may stain light colored beads in your lava jewelry.)
Will the gray natural lava change color? All of the lava I use is genuine lava stone. Some of the natural untreated lava stones can vary in color from ashy gray to black to start off. But they will darken over time with essential oil use.
