Gorgeous soft lilac pink natural Kunzite(1.45ct, VS, Afghanistan) hand set and accented with natural white Zircon(.08ctw,VS,Cambodia)(NOT CZ) all in solid 925 sterling silver setting on a 925 sterling silver chain. This is a beautifully cut, and polished gemstone, with plenty of sparkle. A bold gemstone, for a bold woman. Kunzite is the pretty lilac pink, most popular, and commercially important variety of the spodumene family, cousin to hiddenite (green spodumene) and triphane (yellow spodumene). Due to its strong pleochroism, kunzite has to be oriented particularly and cut carefully in order to achieve the deepest tone and saturation, as the stone's best color is seen when looking down the length of the crystal. Stones of 10 carats or larger display kunzite's pastel hues best, though it can be found in quite large crystals over 1,000 carats.

I have worked & studied gemstones & jewelry design, as well as being a master chef owning my own restaurant. I was raised learning the "old ways" of making daily living items from my Grandmother using what we grew.
