About this Product

Welcome! You are viewing a new original quilt by An Angel A Day, Quilts etc...

For your decorating pleasure, I am sharing this wonderful handmade quilted wall hanging/ table cloth.

Every quilt that finds it's forever home, wants to become your new family heirloom. This quilt would be the perfect accent on your living room wall or just tossed over the arm of your favorite chair. Imagine placing it on your dining table and adding a bouquet of flowers. It will become your new favorite accent piece.

I truly believe that this could be the show stopper gift for the Mom in your life. She could have flowers on her table everyday. This quilt measures approximately 38" square. This quilt is a mix of patchwork and applique. The applique medallions are called Dresden Plates. I hand cut each segment, stitched them into the flower form and then they were machine blanket stitched to the cream background square. Each of the Dresden blocks is accented with corner triangles of a dark green floral. Once the four blocks were completed, I stitched them into the center of this quilt. The colors pop against the border which is a black floral. I hope you took a close look at the photos and noticed the quilting. I free motion quilted a ring of hearts around each of the Dresden plates. Then I used an outline stitch around the border and green corners. To finish the quilt, I chose to use a deep red/burgundy floral for the binding. I always use a double french fold binding technique. The binding is stitched to the front of the quilt my machine and then I stitch it to the back by hand. This technique will ensure that your new quilt holds its' shape for years to come.

All the materials used to craft this quilt are cotton. I only use quilt shop cotton fabric. The threads used are 100% Egyptian cotton. The batting (middle fluff) is organic cotton. I choose to use all cotton materials so that every quilt that I create can be machine washed and dried. Please just use a cool/cold wash and a warm ( not hot) dryer. After the first time that you launder your quilt, it will show some tiny puckers. That is normal and the start of the heirloom look.

If you have any questions about this quilt or any other that is in my store, please don't hesitate to hit the question button. Thank you for taking the time to visit. Blessings to you and yours.
