*The current Navy Uniform pattern is NWU type 3. Green and black.
The other two the blue digital pattern and navy tapes come in silver or gold monogram.
Don’t forget to leave your personalization and selections to avoid delayed processing.

Meet the Maker
My name is Jennifer Souza but you can call me Jen. I am the creator of the original, military uniform ornament ball.
After 13 years in the legal field as a paralegal in both the public and private sectors, I ditched an unsatisfying career path. Shortly after, I opened my first Etsy shop called Pike’s Picks featuring home decor made from Driftwood.
Fast forward a couple years and I married my soldier. My husband had been in the army for several years prior to our first duty station together at Fort Drum, New York. “Climb to Glory!” After a short time working at the base alterations shop, my craft inspirations changed and so did my shops name to Seaside Lake.
In 2014 the army expired the ACU pattern and went to OCP fabric for it’s operational uniforms. Suddenly I found myself inundated with ACU’s. I didn’t want to give the uniforms to secondhand stores or throw them away so I created the military uniform ornament ball. After a year of private sales, the ornaments were added to my shop. Eventually it was time to PCS to Fort Bliss, Texas. After, the name Seaside Lake changed to Freedom Balls and the ornament balls became my major focus.
After 22 years of service it was time for Sergeant First Class, Souza to retire! This wonderful man was a soldier his entire adult life and we were excited to start a new chapter bringing us back to our home state of Maine with my two daughters.
Mr. Souza is now a welder and I continue to create and provide exceptional customer service at Freedom Balls. ❤️
