Hello and welcome to my corner of Go Imagine!
After my crisis counselor shifts, I always looked for ways to decompress after my shifts. I found fluid art painting through YouTube and it brought a sense of ease and calm so I could fall asleep. I started dabbling in this art last summer and it has been so fulfilling and joyful, such a release. Friends and family know how important mental health awareness is to me and I wanted to share that through my art. If I can bring joy and peace to anyone with this art that playfully flows across the canvas, that fills my soul.

How it’s Made
To create this acrylic painting I used the flip cup pour technique. After preparing the canvas, I mixed acrylic paints in deep purple, vibrant pink, black, and white, adjusting their consistency with a pouring medium. I then layered these colors in a single cup and, with a quick flip, released the paint onto the canvas. By spinning and tilting the canvas, the colors flowed and mingled, forming intricate, cell-like patterns. A few drops of silicone oil added to the paint helped create those striking, organic shapes, resulting in a dynamic, cosmic-inspired piece.
