Our trip to France just keeps on giving! We were lucky to see a Van Gogh special exhibit at Musee D'Orsay while we were in Paris-it was a once in a lifetime opportunity for us, and I was awed by his self-portrait painted in 1899. It became a fascinating inspiration piece which inspired me to combine my usual design style with a taste of something a little different to create some "Blushing Boos"
It is my pleasure to introduce my Vincent Van Ghost mini-collection for Halloween 2024, which includes my interpretation of this year's trending pastels in a brighter version of pink and blue, with a little lighter version of orange. And...GLITTER!!! I used a charming multicolor spray glitter that dazzles in the sunlight but isn't hunky and chunky-it's very subtle but I know you'll ADORE IT!
The charming bowl filler, which measures approx. 6.5"T X 4.25"W (+/- 1/2"), is fashioned from a vintage white matelassé coverlet which I treated before sewing and then gently aged and distressed. Backed with antique French linen, it has rustic primitive raw edges. I've trimmed it with a double pink calico heart patch made from a 19th century quilt, and that also has raw edges. It boasts one of my special polymer clay posies, made by ME for YOU with a very vintage Japanese glass dimpled pearl button in the center. I've used some salmon pink and white homespun, also aged to create a bow at his throat, and added another layer with a jute twine bow over that. The jute bow includes a trio of graduated wooden beads on each tail; one in pink, another in orange, and the third in blue, all of which I painted myself so they would be just right. For each quantity purchased, you will receive ONE ghostie, and you may select either the bowl filler version, or the peg rail/ornament version (with string for hanging) from the menu below.

Vincent will be right at home on a bookshelf, tucked in front of your coffee table art books. He'll be great in a bowl of Trick or Treat candy unless you think the little monsters will find him charming and grab too many goodies. He'd be fun next to your tiered tray or tied to a basket of mini pumpkins on a white farmhouse rocker and the jack-o-lantern and mums on your front porch. Hang him in front of your antique linens on a peg rail, or on your funnest ever Halloween tree-you just can't go wrong with this versatile treasure! You're sure to be the envy of your neighborhood as he sparkles and shines and makes everyone wish they had one too, but there won't be enough to go around since I actually have a Fall show this year, plus that other venue and there isn't time to make more. Everything I make is sold first come, first served and when these are gone, they are GONE! If you love this NOW, best to make your purchase when you see it to avoid disappointment!
Fabric/quilts/trimmings with an indication of "vintage" or "antique" are NOT new; therefore, they may have wear, uneven color, small holes, and other age-appropriate imperfections. I make every effort to use the best parts of any fabrics, but they are seldom pristine. All of my fabric items are sewn completely around and a slot is cut into the back piece, which is NEW fabric, for turning and stuffing. When you see a hand stitched seam on the back, it is deliberate, not a flaw. By creating my pieces this way, I can achieve better more accurate shapes than I would by hand sewing shut a curve or corner. ~B~

Returns and exchanges
We accept returns for 14 days for exchange or refund.
Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and any loss in value if an item isn't returned in original condition and in original packaging.

We are not able to accept wholesale orders.
Shipping
We currently only ship to the United States.
I am NOT responsible for damages/theft etc. to uninsured packages regardless of reason. If your order is above the amount covered by the USPS,
we will automatically add the additional insurance required at the BUYER'S expense so that we are both protected in case of loss. I ship EVERY item with tracking,
and will message you the tracking number once your order ships. If a package seems "lost" I will be happy to assist you in locating it, but the USPS requires a 30-day wait
before an insurance claim can be filed (if your package is insured).
Customer is responsible for providing correct shipping address. I will only ship to the address you provide on your order.
Can We Hold Orders to Ship at a Later Date?
No. We ship our items quickly and cannot be responsible for keeping track of orders beyond the date on the original invoice.
We have thousands of items plus supplies to monitor and would feel terrible if something got lost in the shuffle.
